The Central Tower is one of the three main towers in the castle and it overlooks the Viaduct Entrance. In the first two films, the tower was quite short and had small "balcony-like areas" below the turrets at the top. From the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban onwards, it changed to being taller, thinner, having taller spires and no "balcony-like area".
